My guest is a great author, a retired professor, and most notably, a Marxist turned libertarian: Dr. Michael Rectenwald. He is here to discuss his recent speech at a Mises Institute event, called "The Google Election". In this talk, Michael goes over the true beginnings of Google and Facebook and shows that, no, they were not "private companies" from the very start. They were funded by fronts of the CIA and other Federal Government bureaucratic entities. He discusses their formations, their controllers, their algorithms, and their effect on American government, politics, and culture.
